About  Trimmer Potentiometers

Trimmer potentiometers, commonly referred to as trimpots, are electronic components designed for precise manual adjustment of resistance values within an electronic circuit. These potentiometers are available in various configurations, including bottom, side, or top adjustment, and may allow for single or multiple turns of actuation. Trimpots are highly versatile and can be used in a wide range of applications, from consumer electronics to industrial instrumentation. They come with a resistance value range spanning from 10Ω to 5MΩ and exhibit a tolerance range of 5% to 30% of the specified resistance value. This ensures that the actual resistance closely matches the intended value. The surface mount configuration can be mounted directly onto a circuit board, while the through-hole configuration is designed to be inserted into holes on a circuit board.
