About  Terminal Strips and Turret Boards

Terminal strip and turret board family comprises interconnect products that consist of an array of solderable terminals or terminal posts mounted on a sheet of insulating material. These interconnect products are commonly used as a junction point between the internal components of a device or system and the external wiring connected to it during installation. The solderable terminals provide a secure and reliable connection for the wires or cables, which can be easily soldered to the terminal posts. The insulating material separating each terminal ensures that there is no short-circuiting between adjacent terminals. Terminal strips and turret boards are often used in older equipment where the use of soldered connections is prevalent. While relatively simple and inexpensive to produce, terminal strips and turret boards are generally less preferred in modern applications due to the emergence of more advanced and efficient interconnect products.
