About  Solder Lug Connectors

Solder lug connectors are designed to add solder connection capability to threaded stud terminals of various sizes (#4, 6, 8, and 10), as well as screw and rivet locations. They consist of a plated brass or bare copper stem, which may or may not feature a solder eye. Most solder lug connectors are tin-plated and designed to easily accept solder. They come with long or standard stems, available in straight or shaped configurations. The tin plating ensures good solderability and conductivity, facilitating a reliable electrical connection. Solder lugs are differentiated based on the size of the stud/tab they can accommodate, the diameter of the hole they fit into, and the mounting type they offer, such as angled or flat. Additionally, their overall length can vary to suit specific application requirements. In summary, solder lug connectors enhance the solder connection capability of threaded stud terminals, screws, and rivets. They are available with plated brass or bare copper stems, with or without solder eyes. Most solder lugs are tin-plated and come in various configurations, including different stem lengths, shapes, and mounting types. These connectors provide a reliable and solderable solution for securing wires and establishing electrical connections.
