About  Multivibrators

Multivibrators are electronic devices that exhibit two distinct states and are commonly categorized as digital logic components, despite their predominant use in analog applications. There are two primary types of multivibrators: monostable and astable. Monostable multivibrators, also known as "one-shots," possess a single stable state but can be triggered to temporarily depart from this state for a specific duration, typically determined by the value of a connected capacitor. They are frequently employed in applications such as switch contact debouncing, where precise timing is essential. Astable multivibrators, in contrast, lack a stable state and continuously transition between two states at a frequency typically determined by the value of a connected capacitor.
