Heat Shrink Tubing

Heat shrink tubing, also known as heat shrink sleeves, is a type of woven material that comes in the form of hollow tubes with both ends open. When heated by hot air or a flame, the tubing shrinks in size, providing a tight and secure fit around whatever it is placed on. One of the primary uses of heat shrink tubing is as insulation material when connecting wires together. By sliding the tubing over the connected wires, it can be heated, causing it to shrink and form a snug seal around the wires. This insulation helps to prevent electrical leakage and ensures a safe and reliable connection. Heat shrink tubing also has numerous other applications. The length of heat shrink tubing also varies, ranging from as short as 0.031 feet (9.52 mm, 0.38 inches) to as long as 6562.0 feet (2000.0 m). The inner diameter range of heat shrink tubing also varies, typically ranging from 0.014 inches (0.36 mm) to 11.220 inches (284.99 mm). This range offers flexibility in selecting the appropriate heat shrink tubing size for different wire or component diameters.
