About  Ferrite Disks and Plates

Ferrite disks and plates are versatile components that offer a straightforward and economical solution for mitigating radiated and inductively coupled electromagnetic interference (EMI). These components can be utilized in two primary ways: as inductively coupled components or as EMI shields. When used as inductively coupled components, ferrite disks and plates are placed near the EMI source or along the path of the interfering signal. By doing so, they effectively absorb and dissipate the magnetic energy generated by the EMI source, reducing its impact on nearby circuits or sensitive equipment. This method is particularly useful for minimizing the effects of EMI in proximity to the source. Alternatively, ferrite disks and plates can also function as EMI shields.
