Zener Diode Arrays

Zener diodes are semiconductor devices that facilitate the flow of current not only from their anode to cathode but also in the reverse direction when a specific voltage, known as the Zener voltage, is reached. These diodes are commonly employed as voltage references and for regulating the voltage across small circuits. In some cases, multiple Zener diodes are integrated into a single surface mount package to form Zener diode networks or arrays. These arrays consist of two or more Zener diodes housed within a compact package. The diodes in these arrays may be isolated from each other or connected in a common anode or common cathode circuit configuration, offering flexibility in circuit design and layout. Zener diode networks provide engineers with the convenience of multiple Zener diodes in a single package, allowing for more efficient use of board space and simplified assembly processes in electronic circuit design.
