Circular Connector Contacts

Circular connector contacts are electronic components that function as male or female terminals within circular connectors. These contacts are available in various types, including coaxial, fluidic, machined, power, quadrax, radsok, signal, stamped, thermocouple, triax, and twinax. Coaxial contacts are used for high-frequency signals, while fluidic contacts are used to transfer fluids or gases. Machined contacts are precision-engineered for high-reliability applications, and power contacts are designed for high-current applications. Quadrax contacts provide four twisted pairs of signal transmission, while radsok contacts are used for high-voltage and high-current applications. Signal contacts are used for low-current applications, and stamped contacts are cost-effective solutions for high-volume applications. Thermocouple contacts are designed for temperature sensing applications, while triax and twinax contacts are used for data transmission and shielding purposes. These contacts come in two forms: pins and sockets. Pins are male contacts that protrude from the connector and are inserted into the socket, while sockets are female contacts that receive and grip the pin. Contact sizes range from 0 to 23, with larger sizes capable of carrying higher current loads. Overall, circular connector contacts are essential components in ensuring reliable and efficient signal transmission and power delivery for a variety of electronic applications. Choosing the appropriate type and size of contact is crucial for achieving optimal performance and meeting specific application requirements.
