This type of boot is designed to fit snugly around the switch, forming a barrier against dust, moisture, and other particles. O-rings are another type of accessory used for sealing purposes. They are circular rubber or elastomer rings that are placed in a groove between two mating surfaces, creating a tight seal. O-rings are commonly used in switches and other equipment to prevent the leakage of fluids and gases. Pushbutton boots come in full and half sizes and are used to cover pushbutton switches.
