Infineon's IGBT7 technology enables variable-speed drives to transition from fossil fuels to cleaner electric power by offering lower static losses, higher power density, and softer switching. This is achieved by raising the maximum chip operation temperature to +175°C, resulting in a significant increase in power density. Infineon also provides a range of EiceDRIVER gate driver ICs that complement the TRENCHSTOP IGBT7, offering various output current options and protection features.
