Texas Instruments' has introduced the TPSM365R6, a synchronous step-down DC/DC power module capable of delivering up to 600 mA and accepting input voltages of up to 65 V. This compact module combines power MOSFETs, an inductor, and a boot capacitor into a single, easy-to-use 11-pin QFN package that measures just 3.5 mm x 4.5 mm x 2 mm. The HotRod™ QFN package technology provides excellent thermal performance and low EMI.
The device features an ultra-low operating IQ of 4 μA at no load (24 VIN to 3.3 VOUT), making it ideal for applications with limited power budgets. The TPSM365R6 is available with fixed output voltage options of 3.3 V and 5 V, as well as an adjustable output voltage range of 1 V to 13 V. For a fixed output solution of 3.3 V and 5 V, the module requires only four external components. The TPSM365R6 is optimized for space-constrained applications and boasts excellent EMI performance.
