Lumissil's presents the IS32LT3965, a high-performance synchronous buck LED driver IC specially designed for automotive applications. This 1.5 A LED driver offers stable brightness control across a wide operating voltage and temperature range. It incorporates integrated high and low-side FET switches, high-side current sensing, ultra-low shutdown current, quick output response, spread spectrum for reduced EMI, and guaranteed -40°C to +150°C operation. The compact flip-chip package makes it suitable for automotive lighting applications such as DRL, fog lights, welcome lighting, logo lamps, and motorcycle headlights.
By implementing synchronous rectification, the IS32LT3965 eliminates the need for an external diode, resulting in improved system efficiency. The integrated FET switch reduces output loss, enhancing overall efficiency. The driver also utilizes forced continuous conduction mode (FCCM) to maintain a fixed frequency under different load conditions. Operating at a fixed FCCM frequency of up to 2.2 MHz, along with spread spectrum, significantly reduces EMI energy peaks.
